On the way to success at the SCABA Entertainemnts contest !


Denmead Brass are a traditional brass band, based in the village of Denmead in Hampshire. The band has strong community links, and regularly supports local charities in fund raising events. The band uses its skills and experience to deliver a wide range of musical services to communities, businesses and other organisations.


Recent appearances include:

  • The Winchester Real Ale Festival 2011-2018
  • Denmead Proms in the Park 2013-2017
  • Hayling Island Emergency Services Day.
  • Lord Mayor of Winchester's Charity Events
  • The Alresford Show.
  • The Waterlooville Music Festival.

The Band also takes part in contests organised by the following associations.

  • The Wessex Band Association (WBBA).
  • The Southern Counties Amateur Band Association (SCABA).
  • National Grading West of England Area.
  • The Portsmouth Music Festival.


Recent successes have included :

  • 7th Place 2018, National Grading - 2nd section - Torquay.
  • Training band, 1st Place, Mixed Age Band Category, 2018 Portsmouth Music Festival.
  • 14th Place 2017, National Grading - 2nd section - Torquay.
  • 8th Place 2016, National Grading - 2nd section - Torquay.
  • 3rd Place 2015, National Grading - 3rd section - Torquay.
  • Training band, 1st Place, Mixed Age Band Category, 2016 Portsmouth Music Festival.
